About MUFG Fund Services (Jersey) Limited

MUFG Fund Services (Jersey) Limited is licensed under the Financial Services (Jersey) Law 1998.

Regulatory

  • Compliance Officer for Collective Investment Funds and Managed Entities, including responsibility for the preparation and delivery of reporting to Fund and Entity boards as appropriate per internal protocol and regulatory requirements.
  • Money Laundering Compliance and Reporting Officer for Collective Investment Funds, Jersey Private Funds and Managed Entities, including responsibility for the preparation and delivery of reporting to Fund and Entity boards as appropriate per internal protocol and regulatory requirements.
  • ensure they are in line with requirements and operate effectively. Review and advise business on mapping of regulated funds to requirements.
  • Monitor and advise business on internal policies and procedures ensuring they remain relevant and compliant with the JFSC codes of practice legislation.
  • Assisting the business with the completion of the annual JFSC Data Collection exercise.
  • Act as Jersey outsourcing coordinator, liaising with group, facilitating the completion of risk assessments and service level agreements for new outsourcing arrangements. Ensuring the completion of monthly KPI reporting for the location and monitoring the performance of Outsourcing Service Providers and reporting to the Group Outsourcing Manager accordingly.
  • Support group compliance and local Compliance Officer in the delivery of their goals and alignment of global compliance framework, mandates and deliverables.

Risk and Governance

  • Risk Manager for the Company and Jersey Management Company with responsibility for the risk control framework.
  • Ensure ongoing reviews of corporate governance arrangements for collective investment funds and managed entities continually meet best practice guidelines and obligatory requirements.
  • Assist the Board with the periodic review of the Jersey Risk Register following MUFG Group Standards.

Operations

  • Preparation of detailed reports to Business Management, Compliance Management and board and sub-committee reporting for the Company and Jersey Management Company.
  • Work with the business to develop a framework and service offering for Jersey Regulated Funds and Jersey Private Funds, including due diligence standards on fund promoters and Designated Service Provider responsibility requirements for Jersey Private Funds.
  • Assist to maintain and evolve operating procedures and internal controls for Funds and Managed Entity operations ensuring they are in line with Group procedures and industry best practice. Ensure procedures are understood and operate effectively across the business.

Desired Qualifications / Experience

  • Five years’ experience in Fund services Industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of fund administration / management legislation and regulatory developments in Jersey.
  • Excellent knowledge of EU and international fund developments such as ESMA, AIFMD, FATCA, AML.
  • Hold relevant professional qualification.
  • Able to exercise initiative in the performance of tasks.
  • Adaptable to the changing needs of a fast growing business.

This is a part time position, 30 hours per week.
